Winners of TDL Australia Day Contest. Announcing the winners of The Dog Line Australia Day 2015 Photo Contest.
Our Aussie Dog Photo competition was a great success... even if you just look at it from the point of view that it got people interacting and having fun with their dogs on Australia Day.
All you had to do was to take a photo of yourself and/or your dog with an Australian theme to it, and follow the instructions on our contest page for a chance to win a prize for your dog! It just makes the holiday even better!
There was no right or wrong... We didn't assign points or score the number of things in a photo... And there were no 'likes' and 'comments' to get... We just wanted to see some dogs loving the experience and owners enjoying time with their dogs.
We noticed that there were 3 "styles" of images that came through and so tried to give a prize to someone in each style. (*Thanks to Donna and Zimmy Dog for letting us use this mascot image :)
3 Winners have been picked to win a Deluxe Aussie Dog Gift Hamper and a Dog Cooling MatSkip below to see all the contestants and find out who won!
The contest started midnight on January 25th and ended midnight on January 26th. All contestants who posted their photos on the contest event page or on our page and added the 'hashtag'#thedogline were entered into the event.
"This is my foster dog Strawberry a true Aussie breed running off with the flag loving her freedom as we all do living in Australia. #thedogline
Really love how natural this is. Nothing more Aussie than a cattle dog running freely with an Australian flag in his mouth. It definitely gives the photo a patriotic feel. Of the individual dog entries, we picked this one which really signified Australia.
"Wanted to get a cooler photo of Hollee doing something typically Australian but somebody got this pic of Hollee with me while watching the tennis over lunch and thought I'd put this in #thedogline"
Of all the people that were in the photo with their dogs, we thought this one was very nice and relaxed. It shows a lot of compassion between the owner and the dog. Great to see an owner with her dog relaxing on Australia Day.
"Neige in her Aus day collar"
