Scuba Dachy

Colin Seal - Sunday, July 25, 2010

Short Finned Dachy..
If you miss your dog while SCUBA Diving then - just take him with you! Whether he likes it or not! I like the part where the dog was 'excited' when getting ready.. But.. was 'emitting a high pitched whining noise' when underwater.. (Kinda says it all) - I don't think Dogs and SCUBA are a good fit.

Great Film - debarking dog message

Colin Seal - Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Grown ups. and their surgically 'de-barked' dog - What a debarkle!
What a great film, Adam Sandler, his family and his childhood buddies, AND..  their dog - Who they had to have "surgically de-barked". On one level the film really took back to the time i spent with my friends in high school, the jokes, the ribbing and being in a team together and where we are as friends now - we should all get in touch with our high school team mates. make a comment below..

Why a Dog Barks - Is your dog a nuisance?

Colin Seal - Monday, June 21, 2010

Why Bark - and when it's a nuisance?
All dogs bark in response to an internal or external stimulus. This is their way of communicating and to draw the attention of others. In fact people treat dogs as their best pet or companion because of their ability to bark. Unfortunately some dogs bark without any apparent cause. Some barking dogs can be considered a nuisance either to the dog owner or the neighbourhood. Also remember that some people cannot tolerate barking dogs as well as others..

Barking dogs the biggest noise nuisance

Colin Seal - Wednesday, June 02, 2010

Recent headlines regarding barking dog complaints showed just how annoying barking dog noise can be. The Department of Environment and Conservation compiled data collected from 117 local councils in 2007/08 which showed almost 7000 complaints were received about barking dog noise. All other noise related compaints totalled 4721 in the same year. The number of complaints regarding barking dogs was similar for the previous year.

Some Philosophical questions

Colin Seal - Saturday, August 22, 2009

In business, it's often important to consider some deep questions about where you're going and what you're trying to achieve. But that can get tiring from time to time, so it's nice to think about some fun topics instead. For example, I routinely like to consider which came first, the chicken or the egg? I come up with a different answer every time, but the important thing is the reasoning behind it. Playing this with children is fun because it teaches them to come up with logic and reasoning rather than just guess.
