The CANICALM bark limiter collar will allow you to resolve problems caused by excessive barking.
In the factory, the On/Off switch is positioned on Off; the stimulations switch is positioned on beep sounds only and the sensitivity setting is in the medium position.
CANICALM is supplied with the battery.
Lift the n° 2 setting mask (Fig. 1) and turn the On/Off switch to On. A beep sound of 1.5 seconds will be emitted indicating that the collar is operating correctly after a few seconds.
Collar adjustment is very important. The strap must be adjusted perfectly so that the contact points are in contact with the skin of the dog.
Put the cover back on the box. Turn the switch On and after a few seconds, a beep sound of 1 second will be emitted, indicating that the collar is correctly initialized.
Place the collar at the center of the dog’s neck. You will know if the strap is perfectly adjusted when you can insert two fingers between the strap of your dog’s neck.
As you can see in the box, two different series of contact points are provided. For the device to work properly, the length of the contact points must be sufficient to have proper contact with the dog’s skin. If you have a long-haired dog and the short contact points fitted to the collar in the factory are inadequate, replace them with the long ones supplied in the kit. A moderate manual screwing is can also be done but never use keys for them.
At the first bark, a series of six sound beeps will be produced. Another sound beep of 2 seconds will be produced together with a stimulation (short or long as selected) (Fig. 2) if another bark is detected within 30 seconds. Inhibition of any further stimulations is dependent on the absence of any barking within the next 30 seconds.
The stimulation function can be inhibited using the stimulations switch placed under the setting mask n° 1 (Fig. 2). In this case, only the beep sound will be emitted. The barking detection sensitivity setting is a very important preliminary operation (Fig. 2). In fact, this setting determines the correct operation of the product. It provides sure detection of any barking and helps avoid unnecessary detection. The setting must, therefore, be sufficiently sensitive but not too much.
If the battery level is low, the collar produces continuous beeps. Turn the On/Off switch to Off. Open the box by removing the screw on the cover, opposite the contact points. Remove the used battery and insert the new one (Lithium 3 V CR 123 A) paying attention to follow polarity indicated on the battery housing.
NUM'AXES advises using the same type and same brand of batteries as those supplied in your newly purchased product. Other brands of batteries may not operate, or may not be completely compatible with your product. You can purchase suitable batteries from NUM'AXES or from your distributor.
NB: Due to more frequent usage during your dog’s training, your first battery may not last as long as replacement batteries.
